Officer Eric Estrada was tragically killed in the line of duty on Sunday, August 17, 2025. He was 32 years old at the time of his passing.  He was shot and killed while investigating a series of 911 calls from a local residence.

Eric began his career in law enforcement in 2017 with the Logan Police Department. He then joined the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office, where he first served in the jail. Afterward, he worked as a patrol officer and detective at the North Park Police Department before returning to the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office to work again in the jail. In 2025, Officer Estrada joined the Tremonton Police Department, where he served as a line officer and a member of the community outreach team.

He was a dedicated father and husband, deeply loving and cherishing his family. He also enjoyed CrossFit, and his favorite role in law enforcement was being on patrol, where he loved interacting with people and engaging with the community.
