Since 2014, The Utah 1033 Foundation has helped dependents of current Utah Law Enforcement Officers pay for higher education through its annual Leadership Awards Program. In 2026, The Utah 1033 Foundation will continue that tradition by granting up to three (3) Leadership Awards, each of which provides $5,000 to defray higher education costs, to qualified winning applicants in honor of Utah’s law enforcement heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Sworn Utah Peace Officer dependents who are currently high school seniors or currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college, university, or vocational certificate program (and are under the age of 25) are encouraged to apply, subject to additional eligibility requirements as detailed in the application packet.
The Utah 1033 Foundation’s 2026 Leadership Awards application form is now live and available at https://utah1033.org/programs/leadership-awards/ (click the “Utah 1033 Foundation 2026 Leadership Award Application (now live!)” button to download). The application form contains further details regarding eligibility, the application process, timelines, etc. Winning applicants will be notified in April of 2026.
