If you were anywhere in the neighborhood of the Thistle Gun Range in Utah County during late August, you might have noticed a bit more gunfire and shouting than usual. The Third Annual Mountain States SWAT Training & Competition (MSSTC) was held from August 23rd through the 25th, with SWAT Teams from several states competing in events calculated to test their marksmanship, strength, stamina, and knowledge of crisis situations. The multi-day competition was capped off by an awards ceremony for the winning teams and a huge opportunity drawing. It was a lot of fun, and the event raised over $14,000 for The Utah 1033 Foundation!

Tremendous thanks go out to the event organizers and sponsors: Curtis Blue Line, Threat Based Threads, The Utah County Sheriff’s Department, and the Tesoro Foundation. We’re looking forward to doing it again next year! Stay tuned for early registration details!
