“As an observer riding in a police car in New York City, we saw the risks police officers take and how they put their lives on the line every time they go out. We realized how fortunate we are in our lives, and we want to do and give something back to our community.” – Tore and Mona Steen, founders
The Utah 1033 Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2011 to honor Utah’s fallen officers by providing immediate financial support to their families. As our foundation grows and matures, we will expand our programs to include education for officers’ children.
Our organization is run by a three-person Board of Directors and also has an excellent Board of Advisors.
The foundation is located in Park City, Utah. Our community’s broad skill base and giving attitude allow us manage the organization with minimal expenses, relying on a considerable amount of donated time and effort. This means that almost all of the financial donations to the foundation go straight to funding our programs.
